Forecast Discussion:
Rainfall yesterday afternoon and last night is expected to help stabilize soils and reduce the amount of dust lofted from industrial and construction activities for at least the next few days. This is expected to keep daily average PM10 (dust) levels in the Good category. Drier air will be moving into the region for only a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms today with clear skies through the day Saturday. Rainfall chances return again Sunday as atmospheric humidity increases. Rain becomes likely Monday into Tuesday as a low pressure system moves through the region. In turn, this will keep daily average PM10 levels in the Good category.
